The Bellagio poker room has been robbed again, but this time the culprit wasn’t able to get away.
The Bellagio Poker Room is equipped with a poker room management system to track the waiting lists for all games as well as player comps. No jackpot drop is taken in the cash games, making Bellagio one of only five rooms in Las Vegas that do not drop a jackpot rake. When you are in Vegas this is THE poker room, I usually play the 9/18 limit Holdem or the 20/40. They have 4/8 limit and also 1/2 no limit all the way up to crazy limits. They come about a dollar a hour. I would call them ahead of time and try to get on the waiting list.
Authorities say that a man entered the Bellagio poker room Friday night around 9:45 p.m. with a gun and demanded cash from the cage. The alleged thief then ran out of the north casino entrance and tried to steal a getaway car from a guest using the valet.
The carjacking was unsuccessful, however, and the bandit found himself confronted by four responding police officers.
The suspect then opened fire on the police, hitting one of the officers in his bullet-proof vest before being struck by returning fire. Both the police officer and thief were transported to a local hospital. The police officer has since been treated and released for minor injuries, while the suspect is in critical condition.
They shot him at north valet. Was out there when it happened.

The robbery comes just over a year after an armed man walked into the poker room in the middle of the afternoon wearing a blonde wig and glasses. That suspect was able to get away and remains at large after taking an undisclosed amount of cash and chips.
Bellagio Poker Room Waiting List Online
The Bellagio was also taken for $1.5 million in chips back in 2010. Anthony Carleo, a son of a Las Vegas Municipal Court judge, was ultimately arrested for the theft where he brandished a gun and wore a helmet before later fleeing on a motorcycle. Carleo was captured a couple months later after trying to sell some of his stolen chips to an undercover detective.
In January of last year, the New York-New York Casino also had its cage robbed. In November of 2017, Las Vegas police finally caught a local church pastor on his third armed robbery attempt of the M Resort Casino.
